Feature: Running in both: GUI and terminal modes #4915
Comments
Thanks for this feature request @mdziczkowski this may require making Warp a CLI application, but it's not clear how you'd be able to access the completions/warp drive, etc. from the CLI. To anyone else interested in this feature, please add a 👍 to the original post at the top to signal that you want this feature, and subscribe if you'd like to be notified. |
Hey @mdziczkowski could you elaborate on exactly what you mean by what you're imaging "terminal mode" looks like? |
What do you think about that they could be done in the application's background and use technologies like for example SOAP, with could would allow to move the communication more into the background to reduce the application's load and allow to focus on optimizing Warp to make it even better then it's now 😜 |
There are many ways to achive the CLI alike look, so I think that there is no "one best way" to do that. I think that it would be great if the most of current functionality would be also avaliable thru CLI 🤔 |

Describe the solution you'd like?
Hello. I wanted to propose a feature that Warp could be used in both: GUI and terminal mode.
This would allow to enchance the Warp usage efficiency and even to replace the standard and very the featury limited Linux terminal with Warp.
In my opinion, Warp is currently the best terminal related solution present.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently avaliable Linux terminal's are too limited and doesn't offer all required functionality, with causes more work. Replacing it with Warp would solve ut.
